Educational Programs

We offer an integrated Infant, Preschool & After-School program.

Our preschool program offers a curriculum and an environment that targets to challenge and inspire your child in all his or her areas of development: physical, cognitive, emotional, cultural, moral, and social.

We set up an empowering environment that will encourage your child to develop his or her independence. The curriculum pairs teacher- and children-initiated activities and projects with lots of open-ended oriented activities to exercise his or her individuality and self-sufficiency. In addition, activities in small groups are fostered in order to exercise cooperation and sharing of responsibilities and goals. Our curriculum has a comprehensive approach and we strive to keep it anti-bias and to include the children's interests, while still fulfilling the educational goals set for your individual child, based on developmental assessment observations and your feedback input. We also follow the Development Guidelines from the California Department of Education and Child Development Division on their commitment to young children by providing them with a high quality education. We also teach peace education and peace conflict resolution and the democratic manner to reach higher levels of interpersonal communication and just outcomes. We view education as a process. Thus, in our preschool program, we cover daily, in both English and Spanish, writing, reading, math and other sciences, the alphabet and phonics, and spelling. On a weekly basis, we rotate concepts like opposites, sorting, sequencing, around the world, all about me, telling time, animals, manners, the human body, etc, depending on the children’s interests.

However, as a multi-age group, all ages are encouraged to participate, and our curriculum is flexible enough to challenge each age group. We expand past a preschool curriculum to meet and inspire all ages and levels. We believe that all children learn not only from the significant adults in their lives, but also from their environment and peers. Every day we take advantage of that fact: the young ones bloom faster because they are exposed to challenging concepts, while the older ones not only reinforce their learned concepts as they themselves become the “big helpers,” but also will exercise cooperation, sharing, tolerance, empathy and self-empowering. We also have an after-school program where children can get assistance, if needed, with their schoolwork. Tutoring in all subjects is offered. We also offer individual swimming lessons when the weather warms up! The pool, as you can see from our photos, is gated and secured. However, even without the lessons all the children have access to the pool about once a week from late spring to early fall. Pool days will always be announced in advance and parents are welcome to join! Of course, pool rules for safety precautions must be followed.
